About the Sacramento Youth Symphony

For more than 50 seasons, the Sacramento Youth Symphony has established and maintained a tradition of excellence for its musicians and for the audiences who benefit from the skills of these talented young musicians. The SYS inspires and nurtures an appreciation of orchestral music in young people of the greater Sacramento region.
The SYS has grown from one orchestra to a program in which musicians can advance through a variety of beginning, intermediate and advanced ensembles.
For more than 6 years it has been an honor to have two of my children be a part of this wonderful organization. During the 2007-2008 season, I began taking photos at the concerts so the Symphony organization would have something to use for promotional purposes. It was suggested that we make these photos available for parents and anyone else who might like copies.
